Is that the Hydroshuttle transmission? I have a L3750 which has 4 ranges on the right hand side by the seat. Then you shift forward and reverse up on the column. There are a lot more Kubota fans on here that might have other troubleshooting ideas. Reverse is working ok?

I'm thinking that the shift fork lever has come out of it's proper location. Does it lock up when you put it in another gear?

If this is the case you will have to remove the shift cover and check for a worn shift fork or rail.

it has the hydroshuttle transmission and reverse works. It doesn't lock up when i change gears because it is stuck somewhere in between gears

Does the PTO engage? Not that it matters much I am just checking for things that I would try. The shift fork scenario sounds plausible. I haven't had any problems with my machine like that at all.
Have you called any Kubota service centers and picked their brains?

I am pretty sure it is the shift fork lever but I can't work on it right now thanks for the help but I am open to new ideas.

When you pull the shift cover off you will see a roll pin holding shift arm to the shaft it is either held in with a cir-clip or a wire running through the center of it. That roll pin is broken. Kubota makes a solid pin for this, or you line the holes up, open the hole up with a 1/4" drill bit, get a piece of drill rod and make your own pin and cut your own snap-ring groove in the arm and put it back together. Or for the quick repair drive out to out roll pin and drive in a new 6mm roll pin and know that you'll be doing it again at some point.
