Kubota L3430
Hi, I am new to your forums but have been lurking for a week or so and know I can get some great advice here.

We are looking at a house with 7 acres of land. The current owner has an L3420 that he wants to sell, preferably with the house. It is immaculate with low hours and appears to be sized appropriately for the property.

I really know little about newer tractors (I was a landscape contractor for many years before selling the business along with the L2250, L2850, and Case 580K 15 years ago). Was this a good model for Kubota?

Thanks in advance! We are going to make an offer today.

Is it a 3430 or 3420? Either way both should serve you well.

Oops, sorry it is a 3430. I looked at it again today- immaculate, cleaner than new. It has 92 hours and is 4.5 years old. Next will come the fun part of figuring value. As long as we can come to a good compromise, I will buy it.

Thanks for your thoughts

I have a L3130 that has been perfect since day one. You could not do better for a tractor than the grand L.

Welcome neighbor.
By the sounds tractor still showroom condition..what are your plans for the land?..could ask the owner what was his intent for the tractor etc. just might fit your needs.

Had a L3130 and loved it, traded for a L5030 and love it too. Sounds like a great find!

I'd think a bit of overkill but I'd doubt that you could find a better deal if he's not to greedy.

Hi everyone, Thank you for your replies. Frankly, the tractor is bit of overkill whicj is OK by me, I would rather underwork than overwork a machine. Essentially he used it to bush hog about 3 acres and snow blow the 500' driveway (front mounted blower).

I have gone back and forth on the front mount blower- I have never used one and while it seems cool, I wonder if it is a pain considering I may need to use the FEL to stack snow and hate to be constantly switching attachments. My last tractors were early 90s (or late 80s) L2250 and L2850 and my recollection is that the loader came off relatively easily but I also remember some choice cursing as well!

I have a L4330 with loader and a L2184 front blade. I use the blade almost exclusively for moving snow. And it is 10 times faster than a bucket. The snowblower will be even faster. I do use the loader in the winter also, for tree trimming and once in awhile to go bucket out the mailboxes. The under carriage/lift assembly for the blade/snowblower can be a little confusing/frustrating at first to get put on. But like anything else, after you do it a couple of times it becomes fairly simple. The good thing is, you do not have to remove it to put the loader back on. Just drop the snowblower/blade off. Raise the lift all the way. I then usually put a little chain around it to hold it up in case of any leak down. Then unhook the two hoses and coil them up out of the way. Then mount your loader as you normally would. You just need to keep in mind that you have the under carriage hanging below you, and that it sticks out in front of you a little ways. But I have used it this way form many winters. I would not let that snow blower get away. Once you have a front mount blower, you will have a hard time moving snow with anything else. JMHO

Oh, I guess I should add, that I'm not recommending running your tractor all year long with the under carriage hanging down below you. I do take it off in the spring when I am sure that winter is over. In MN, we sometimes don't know when that is, but that's a topic for another day. So even if does seem like is a pain to put that under carriage on and take off, I only do it once a year, so it isn't all that bad. Good luck with your decision.
