I bought this tractor used about 3 years ago. Changed out all fluids and filters, fuel filter and air filters and have used it for driveway grading and snow removal without any issue. I Have only put 54 hours on it since I bought it, it is at 2,089 currently. I used it a few days in a row last week. I put it away Wednesday and when I went out Thursday it started and shut right off, no sputtering, just quit. It did that a couple times and then stayed running long enough for me to pull it out of the garage. I got out to let it warm up and it shut down again. I started googling and replaced the Fuel stop solenoid after I tested it incorrectly and thought it was bad. It was not the problem so I started checking sensors. Strange things that happened today were that for a time it started and stayed running until I sat on the seat and then it died. I unplugged the seat switch to bypass it and found out it would run without it. But it eventually died again after a few minutes. So then I started checking the PTO switch. I found that the tractor will start or at least turn over with the PTO on, which it should not. Both the seat switch and PTO switch seem to test ok for resistance. The pedal switch tested fine also. When I talked to a Kubota dealer service department he said that the tractor would run without someone on the seat but it should shut down if the pedal was pushed without someone on the seat. I have been able to move the tractor from outside the cab by pressing the pedal before when filling holes in the driveway. I have no idea how "Safety" switches don't seem to do anything they are supposed to, still test ok and the **** thing still won't run. Please let me know if you have any ideas, I am lost. I will talk to the dealer again on Monday as I figured out the PTO issue after I talked to them.

Download a copy of the owner's manual. It should give the switch check sequence in the fifty hour checkup.

I have the owners and work shop manual. It fails the PTO test so I assume that switch is bad and I will replace and go from there. But it bothers me that it passes ohms test. Also, once the motor is running you can run the PTO, so why would it cut off the fuel stop solenoid?

Still no luck with this issue. Seat switch neutral switch and PTO switch all pass the tests in WSM. Still starts and runs an intermittent amount of time and eventually fuel solenoid shuts it down. Got into dash, need to remove panel so I can get to relay and opc timer switch. WSM has tests for relay, but there is no mention of OPC timer switch in the whole manual, how do you test it?

It does indeed sound as though your OPC timer could be the culprit. You could test it with your meter knowing the time delay supposed to be built into it but yours sounds intermittent. That means sometimes it will test fine and sometimes not - you'll never know which time is which. I'd just replace it or bypass it.

I hear the audible click of the fuel stop solenoid. (which I have replaced thinking it was bad) For example this morning it turned over but was not trying to fire. I Heard the click of the solenoid and then it fired right up. It ran for 15 seconds or so and then it died. Something is cutting off the power to the solenoid I believe.

It may not be components, but rather a wire somewhere that has rubbed and is intermittently shorting, or a broken wire that makes contact some of the time.

I have had ignition switches go bad on me. I have had PTO switches also act like that

I didn't think of ignition switch. Swapped out the relays and that didn't work. Ordered OPC timer. Another $100 chasing this down. Have to see if I can figure out how to test ignition switch while I wait for OPC timer.
