I bought this tractor used about 3 years ago. Changed out all fluids and filters, fuel filter and air filters and have used it for driveway grading and snow removal without any issue. I Have only put 54 hours on it since I bought it, it is at 2,089 currently. I used it a few days in a row last week. I put it away Wednesday and when I went out Thursday it started and shut right off, no sputtering, just quit. It did that a couple times and then stayed running long enough for me to pull it out of the garage. I got out to let it warm up and it shut down again. I started googling and replaced the Fuel stop solenoid after I tested it incorrectly and thought it was bad. It was not the problem so I started checking sensors. Strange things that happened today were that for a time it started and stayed running until I sat on the seat and then it died. I unplugged the seat switch to bypass it and found out it would run without it. But it eventually died again after a few minutes. So then I started checking the PTO switch. I found that the tractor will start or at least turn over with the PTO on, which it should not. Both the seat switch and PTO switch seem to test ok for resistance. The pedal switch tested fine also. When I talked to a Kubota dealer service department he said that the tractor would run without someone on the seat but it should shut down if the pedal was pushed without someone on the seat. I have been able to move the tractor from outside the cab by pressing the pedal before when filling holes in the driveway. I have no idea how "Safety" switches don't seem to do anything they are supposed to, still test ok and the **** thing still won't run. Please let me know if you have any ideas, I am lost. I will talk to the dealer again on Monday as I figured out the PTO issue after I talked to them.
