I'm looking at buying a 2002 Kubota L3010 with a LA482 loader. It's got about 1300 hours on it.

It looks to be in good shape with normal wear and tear on the bucket. He's asking $12,500.

What do you think of the price and anything I should know about ahead of time with that model?

I'm looking for a tractor to help maintain my 20 acres. I'll be using it to bush hog, move dirt/firewood, etc.

I know that year had a front mount blower attachment that was an option. What are my chances of finding a used one? I like the idea of having a blower on it where I don't have to look backwards while using it. :)

Thanks for the input!

We have a L3000Dt,one problem with that series tractor is the front axel seals. My brother in law purchased a L3300 used, only 176 hours that had a front snowblower driven off the rear PTO and it is for sale if interested.Lofness six ft.blower and related hardware for $2500.FEL must be removed to install.Uses a gear box and drive shaft.P.M. me if interested and I will send pictures.

L3000 was a "standard L" model while the L3010 was a "Grand L". Different front axles.

As for the $12,500, that's not out of line for an L3010 in good - excellent condition. L3010 was a solid, reliable machine, although it was heavy for a 30 hp tractor and could struggle with some demanding pto applications. As long as you aren't in a hurry and can let it work at it's own pace, it should perform well. Should work well with a 5' cutter.

The factory front snowblower for an L3010 was an L2052-1. Interestingly, there's one for sale on an online listing site, says it's in Wisconsin somewhere:

I think with 20 acres what you need to know is you'll probably be wanting a bigger tractor within two years:eek:

I have one, same tractor only a 2000 model, had 300 hours on it is excellent shape I paid 13,500. I thought it was a little much at the time but it is a work horse and am very pleased with the unit. We have 35 acres & also use it on our grandsons sweet corn operation. Yours sounds like a reasonable buy, offer less & see what happens.

I have an L3710. These are great tractors. Mechanical hour meters and such with very few sensors and switches. Glow plug timer is a common problem. 100 dollars and 15 minutes to fix. Price is decent. 11,500 would be a good deal if it is in nice shape.

Is there a major difference size-wise between L3010 and L2500? The first is 4X4 hydrostatic 30hp, the other manual 4x2 and 27hp. Curious what to expect or if L means the physical size is same-same.

"Size" has minimal impact.

The basic measure of tractor capability is tractor weight.

Both L3010 and L2500 are 2,700 pounds bare tractor weight.

"L" designated Kubota tractors come in wide range of physical dimensions and weights.

A 4-WD tractor will outperform a 2-WD tractor in many applications, especially filling an FEL bucket.
