I HAVE A KUBOTA L3010 AND I AM LOOKING TO ADD A HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT ON MY LOADER FOR A CURTIS SNOW BLADE WITH HYDRAULIC POWER ANGLE. I HAVE READ ALOT OF THE POSTS HERE ON TBN AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND ALOT OF THE TERMINOLOGY SO I AM A LITTLE CONFUSED. I DID FIND A KIT THAT GEARMORE OF CA. PUTS OUT BUT I CAN'T FIND ANY OTHER KITS THAT MAY BE AVAIABLE CAN ANYONE HELP ME? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD REAR HYDRAULICS AS WELL. THE KIT THAT KUBOTA PUTS OUT IS TOO EXPENSIVE ($800) CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE I CAN TAP INTO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FOR THE REAR HOOKUP? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

First of all, please turn off the caps lock key as it makes it seem like you are shouting.

You have two options for tapping into the hydraulic system on your Kubota. First is making an adapter to connect into the aux hydraulic outlet where the Kubota aux valve spools would be connected. This will require some precision machining but can be done. Someone else her has done that. Look HERE for the discussion.

Your other option is to tap into the loader's power beyond. There are many discussions here on how to do that and it would be the easiest and least expensive option.

MadReferee,
Sorry about the caps lock.

Thanks for the help. I'm sure I'll be back here with more questions once I get started.

If the FEL control valve is utilizing the PB and I want to add a valve in series, I think the valve that I need to buy will need PB also so that I can tie the PB back into the system. Is this
true?
The cylinders on my Curtis snow blade are single action, do I need to get a special valve or are they the same for single and double action cylinders?
Please excuse my ignorance I'm an electrician not a hydraulics mechanic.

Double D,
To add a FEL circiut, it may be cheaper to use a Electric Diverter Valve to "split" the dump/curl circuit on your loader.
I did it on mine in this POST, and SanMan added one to his Kubota FEL in this POST ,And finally PineRidge added one to his NH in this POST

I use mine for a FEL plow with SA cylinders, not a problem.
The final post for the plow I built is HERE and there is a link to the origanal build post in that one.

Hope this helps some...

The FEL control valve has PB since it is first in the circuit, then comes the aux valves and finally the 3pt. You must buy a valve with PB to correctly plumb the circuit (and not void any warranty /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif). This means you will have 3 hoses to deal with, inlet, PB, and return to tank.

MadReferee,
I'm sorry that it took me so long to get back to you and thank you for the info but my computer went down and I just got it back.

I decided to add a electric diverter valve on my FEL in lieu of adding another valve so that I can control the angle on my Curtis snow blade. Now I think I made a mistake. I have the whole thing all hooked up and the angle will only go to the left. When I try to angle the plow to the right everything locks up. I spoke to someone at Curtis and they told me that the Kubota FEL utilizes PB and the single action cylinders on the plow won't operate with a system using PB. Do you Have any suggestions or did I waste my time and money?

My Meyer's plow has 2 SA cylinders and works fine through the diverter.
You do have a 4-way FEL valve on that Kubota don't you? I have heard some of the Kubota's had 3-way FEL valves that will not operate a blade properly.

Does it "lock up" if you only push the stick a little to the right? If you push it hard right then you may be energizing the "regen" cuircut and the plow will lock up with that.

Sounds like the 3-way vs 4-way problem. Check the part number of your FEL valve against the parts or price list to see what flavor it is.

Here is an explanation of what is happening.

3-way vs 4-way valves

The simplest solution is to move the divertor to the other joystick circuit. It sounds like the either a 3 way valve or regenerative circuit common on the dump function. Move it to the loader boom function.

SIR,
i have a L3000DT. is this about the same as
your tractor? i have been trying to figure out
how to install rear hydraulics on my tractor,
but the dealer says if i use the PB, it will ruin
the pump. i would like to do this by buying the
parts, and doing it myself. the companies that
list top, and tilt kits, do not list one for my
tractor. if i could buy a kit, i expect it would be
very pricey.
