kubota L2900 mower

can someone tell me why the mid mount mower can't be installed on the L2900 tractor with R4 industrial tires? I have my eyes on a used RC72-29 mower but not sure it will install.

I am not exactly sure but I wonder if it has a center PTO. My L4400 model is along the same "economy" lines as the one you mention and I do not have a center PTO. Should be on the Kubota website.
If not that it has to be a clearance issue with the six ft mower you mention. If you have the PTO, a narrower one should fit.

mine does have the mid pto. that was one of the reasons I bought it, but I wasn't aware of the fit issue with the R4 tires until afterwards.

It has to be a clearance issue with that wider mower deck. Someone on this board will know for sure but you could try to find some info on the Kubota site .
