I have a new L2800 HST, serial number 59598 and have read all the posts regarding the PTO and three point lift. I have not used it yet but my friend (where I keep it) did to dig several post holes. He mentioned it worked great.
I understand the PTO has been improved through a couple mods, and that the three point is improved as well.
I bought a Rhino 160 rotary mower (along with a Rhino 5' box blade and 6' rear blade) to use on my property a couple hours from here and hope it works as intended. Will get a landscape rake but not sure which one, WAF (wife acceptance factor) is dwindling fast.
What can I expect from the PTO and three point hitch with that serial number? just bought it new a month ago.
My dealer sells mostly smaller ones for home owners and quite a few larger ones for the local farmers and isn't much help with specifics regarding the L2800's PTO/three point reputation.
