Goreef I have no issues shifting from forward to reverse on L2501dt as long as tractor is stopped there should be no grinding. When shifting into any gear from neutral give the gears about 4 seconds to stop spinning or you will get grinding

I have a L3901DT and as long as you have the clutch in you can change the direction without stopping, it tells you this in the manual. But like OC3 said, to shift gears you need to be stopped and wait a couple of seconds before changing gears.
