Kubota L2250 question

Thinking of buying a used L2250 4WD with a loader with 735hrs on it. Its a little smaller than I wanted, but it is in the price range and comes with 3 implements (rotary cutter, harrow, and box blade). I am not sure what kind of shape the implements are in, but he is asking $8500.

Two questions:
1) is this a fair price
2) is this a good machine for planting small food plots and general work around the house?

I have an L235DT with a FEL which is really close to that tractor - i think it sounds like a good deal. Mine handles food plots, plowing and just about everything I ask of it.

Considering it has the loader plus the implements, it's not a bad price at all. Relatively low hour count is a plus as well. I have an L2250 I bought new in 1985, and it more than suits my needs. It leads a good life, and has a mere 460 hours on the clock. The only implements I have are a Bush Hog and a 64" snowblower on the rear. If you end up getting it I think you'll be happy with it.

I have a 1985 L2250 with FEL that I bought about 10 years ago for about $7,500. It also came with a rear blade and about 1000 hours on it. It is a true work horse and I do quite a bit with it and the additional attachments I have picked up over time (5 foot JD brush hog and york rake). In fact, I am in the market for a 3pt snowblower to add to the arsenal.

My father has a B series Kubota, and although the hydrostat is great and the smaller size is good for manuevering....I wouldn't give up the increased power of mine.

Bottom line, my sense is that you would be happy with the one you're considering and the price sounds good for all that you would be getting. Good luck!

which transmission does it have hst or shittle shift I had a l2250 2 wheel drive and it worked great for me Just sold it and bought a l3700su Great tractors Randy
