Kubota L225 Brakes

Hi all, I'm need to put new brakes into my L225 soon. It looks fairly simple, but I have a question. I'm wondering if it is necessary to remove the wheel to do it, or does that just make it more convenient to get at the brakes? I haven't purchased the shoes or new drums yet, so if there are any deals out there??? This is my first time doing this so any tips are appreciated.

hi yes you have to remove the tire i dont rememder how the brakes are mounded inside the rear its been 20+ yrs since i seen tractor brakes apart
