2017 kubota L3901 HST
Hey everyone, Im seriously looking at ordering a 60 inch kubota L2244 - 4 in 1 bucket for my L3901. Union farm equipment here in Maine can get me one for $2025. It seems to be the best 4 in 1 bucket that I can find for the weight. My dealer says it’s around 400lbs? Does anyone have any experience with this bucket or even better any close up pics? Looking for any info and pics before I make the order. Thanks all.

Yea it’s the same. How well does it work at final cleanup of debris. I’m mainly looking at getting it for picking up rocks, sticks and debris that I windrow and pile up from grading my road each spring.

I have a 4n1 and they do work well for this but not quite as well as a grapple or even a skeleton rock picker. On the other hand, you'll never be able to pick up a pile of gravel on your driveway with a grapple, and you can with a 4n1.

We have manzanita growing on public land that adjoins our property and it can be a real hazard during fire season. The state has given me permission to remove the manzanita from their property and I use my 4n1 for that - open the jaws wide, roll the bucket over put it down over the entire bush, close the bucket, and lift and move back and forth as necessary and they come right out - can't do that with a grapple either, but you can drive a root grapple under the bush and grub it out.

For what you describe, I think a good tight grapple would work well, or even better is a skeleton with a grapple on it - like this one.

I already have a grapple that I use all the time but my issue is most of the debris my blades or landscape rake leave behind are too small and fall through the grapple. It’s a pain in the *** to keep getting off to shovel small piles into the bucket I have now so my hope is to try one of these 4 in 1 buckets to be able to go around and pick up loose debris piles and also be able to clean up the last little bits of gravel or dirt piles. I’ve got a lot of hip and back issues so it’s a pretty good excuse to get a new toy/tool lol. Thanks for the input on how yours works.

I would get the bolt on edge also:)

I have the 72 inch model and it works great. Bought a bolt on tooth bar to use with it and it turns the 4-1 into a very versatile tool. The teeth work great when back dragging as a giant rake for spreading dirt or sorting out trash from a pile of dirt. Helps on digging of course. Open up the bucket and you now have a smooth lip to back drag with for a nice smooth final touch. Works fine for small piles of brush or the occasional log or large limb. And of course it is handy for picking up the piles of small stuff you do not want to have to shovel up. I did weld on chain hooks on the top of the bucket at the end of the FEL arms and a 2 inch receiver tube so as to be able to chain up and load and unload items. The two inch receiver is handy for moving small trailors, anchor point for fence stretching etc.
Only down side I have had is since the 4-1 bucket weighs a bit more resulting in a bit less hauling when moving high volumes of things like sand. (Still have my old bucket)
4-1 bucket has been a very good purchase for me.

I have the kubota 60" 4 in 1 bucket on my B26. It does well at picking up debris, but does have a pretty large learning curve- at least for me. I'm glad I got it. It worked fairly well at pulling Privet hedges and piling bushes and such before I got the grapple. I do not know the part number, but it is a Kubota bucket, and very well made. I did get the bolt on cutting edge on the front.

For those that do have a 4-in-1, can you clamp onto a wood post or T-steak and pull it out of the ground? I know this is totally dependent on loader strength, depth of post, type of soil, whether it's set in concrete or not, etc etc, but what I'm getting at is being able to clamp onto the post using the jaws, instead of wrapping chain around the post and using the bucket hooks if so equipped.
