Kubota L1501DT

Hi to all who are listening, we just purchased an old Kubota L1501DT, 2 cylinder 15 hp gem. It's needing some TLC and I am hoping to find an owners manual and service manual that may be around. We are going blind on this so far. I am thinking this 4 wheel drive tractor was sold mostly in Australia, South America and some came to Canada but not many to the USA market. All our Google searches take to a B 'series' tractor, the levers and switches are all different. I haven't been able to determine the year of the tractor at this time, firstly I want to stop the fuel leak that's happening. All good fun ... and thanks to anyone who has some info.

Lots of info on the 1501dt over at orange tractor talks. You can’t really determine the year of those tractors from what I’ve heard (ref: What is the diff. between L1500DT and L1501DT - OrangeTractorTalks - Everything Kubota)

I’ve got an l1500dt. I order parts for a l175 and they all work thus far but haven’t done any pto or front axle work which is the big diff between the l175 and l1500. Seems your tractor is probably closer to a l185dt. (Kubota L1501 DT. Equivalent Model. - OrangeTractorTalks - Everything Kubota) I think you probably also have the creeper gear lever near the shifter levers.

A dt model is definitely 4wd. It’s the lever near the high/low selector.

Not sure if there is a manual online for a l185dt but you can purchase one from Messicks or if you ask over at ott someone might have one to send you electronically. The manual for the l1501dt would most likely be Japanese so not sure that will help you

Posting photos of the tractor and problem areas will make advice to you much better. It will really clarify which North American model is close to yours.

Kubotabooks.com has free manuals for many models. WSM means work shop manual and is the most desirable but an owner's manual is useful also.

Thanks for reply and the direction to more information.
I found a source in Saskatchewan and another in Manitoba for parts and repairs as well.
It's time to get the greasing done and oil and filter changed ...
