I posted this under the Kubota heading but thought I might get more response here, I did get one under the Kubota heading Thanks
so heres the question
well seems how there are a lot of guys and gals with way more knowledge about tractors than me perhaps they could point me in some direction.
Hooked up the snow blower today (3 point rear mount) and noticed that the pto shaft from the tractor I believe is slowing down then speeding up while the tractor has the pto engaged? this is a GST model
I don't hear any noise from the transmission but noticed clunking noise from the snowblower due to the speed change.
any ideas on what would cause this? thanks for any help

Odd. On the 60 series I know there is an electronic controlled "stall guard" that may be also on your machine. My understanding of this function is that it reduces travel speed when the tractor begins to be overloaded. I don't think this function controls pto speed, but the pto is set electronically so it may be a computer problem.
What does it do under a pto load? (Not just spinning the blower).
Hope you get it sorted out.

it is odd and I might have part of it figured out not really sure. looking at it tonight it could be the blower and pto shaft spinning "free wheeling" faster that the shaft is powered tonight I threw caution to the wind and plowed it into a huge snow bank and it destroyed the snow bank in seconds.
I guess I will take the wait and see approach.
thanks

Mowed with my new L4060hstc the other night. Hitting dense grass would slow things down, but I could feel the whole tractor lurch a little as PTO speed dropped along with corresponding drop in ground speed.

If your PTO shaft isn't property phased it will speed up & slow down every rotation. But I don't think that's what you are talking about. And modern PTO shafts are keyed so you can't put them together rotated so the U joints are out of phase.

The Lxx50 series were made 1990-1993 according to Tractor Data and are not much similar to the newer models. The L3650 has live PTO with a dual stage dry clutch. You may check and see if the clutch is adjusted right and not slipping.

Doh, i read L3560... which is almost the same as my L4060. The Lxx60s dont even have a clutch pedal on the HST machines.
