Kubota KH41
Hi all, well I just bought this brand new (in about 1988) Kubota KH41 (similar to a KH36 I think) and I've got a few problems with it.

First is the ghastly paint scheme - but I'll live with that for now - its been very rusty, and this paint is on THICK to hide it! So I don't see an easy fix for that in the short term...

Next is the grader blade, which has rolled under - I've ordered some hard steel plate to weld on here though - so that's going to get sorted in the short term. The bucket isn't much better but I'll save some of the grader blade steel and see what I can do with that too.

The big problems I have right now though are:
1. the slew is VERY sloppy - and I don't know if there is anything I can do in terms of adjustment to fix this or is it just a major teardown and replace parts?
2. the bucket curl control is jamming and stiff and can be quite hard to operate.
3. there is a ton of slop (10cm / 4") in the slew control - there is a pin in a pivot which is very worn, and I've slipped half a split pin in there to tighten that up for now - its a bit rough and not really a fix as such, but I think I'd need to pull the whole cab apart to do something properly.

For 2. i've had a look at the bellcrank and pivot under the floor and it looks like the main pivot is binding for some reason - I sprayed a pile of penetrating lubricant on the pivot points and worked it back and forth with the turnbuckle unbolted from it so I could really move it - its freed up a bit on the left movement (curl) but is still jamming on the extend / right movement.

Sorry for the annoying GIF - I was just trying to show what the problem is. When the right control is pushed to the right, it jams.

And 3. is this pin here which I think the hole has ovaled out really badly - so as I mentioned I just jammed half a split-pin down the side of the pin which has improved things there - but its not a fix, just a bandaid. But it looks really hard to get to without pulling the cab apart, taking the fuel tank out (which means a few other things as well)... Does anyone have any other ideas for a fix here?

You can't really make out much - but the pin is jammed in from the left of the workshop diagram above if that helps visualise it. There are hard lines over the top and its all under the seat / fuel tank area.

And the final - and possibly most annoying problem, is that if you try to crawl slowly, particularly if there is a load (like dozing or a full bucket) then the whole thing starts lurching back and forth - I think this is something in the drive system just not driving smoothly... does anyone have any ideas about that?

Cheers in advance,
