Kubota M7060,Kubota MX 4700hst, Kubota B7100hst, Kubota RTV 900,
I would like to have my kubota changed to a key that is unique to my tractor only. How big of a deel is this?

This post reminded me of something I saw today. Went to Walmart to grab a couple things with the girlfriend and my daughter. As we are walking into the store there is a nice Harley parked there with the helmets on the handle bars like normal. Something on the seat grabbed my attention and there are the keys to the bike. Just left laying on the seat in the parking lot unattended. So either he is very trusting or he was hoping someone would steal it.

As for the tractor, you should be able to buy a new lock at an auto parts store and swap it out giving you a new key that would be different then anything else out there. Then again if you install a kill switch you can have it even more secure as even with a different key it can still be started rather easily. A kill switch in a hidden place would do a lot more for safety and security.

Maybe the Harley guy was one of those you don't want to mess with ;-)

Consider a product called the Battery Brain, it has a remote that disconnects the battery. That ensures someone can't start the tractor and also guarantees you're not draining the battery when the tractor is off. I put one of these on my wife's car because she was always leaving something on and running the battery dead.

I bypass the neutral safety switch with an extension cord.

It looks like a block heater plug-in to someone else,
but if you don't "touch" the two end's together, she won't start.

That, sir, is a brilliant idea, and could find many other uses as well.

They might be coming to it. At least on my Kubota minidigger, the key is like a car key, with electronic gear inside which must be read. They put several keys together the other day at the dealer's and we had a hard time sorting them out. But don't lose or break your key, other Kubota keys will never start your machine !

Just leave the tractor parked with the PTO lever in the on position. Most geniuses wouldn't think to throw the lever, even if they had a key.
