The cost is determined by the value. It pays for accidental damage but not maintenance issues and there is a deductible of $250. There are a couple of lengthy discussions on the forums that give much more detailed information on it but the sense I got is that most people think it's a good deal. Most people find that it is required ( I did) when you finance your tractor through Kubota and can be cancelled as soon as you pay it off.
If I buy a Kubota that leaves my home property I buy Kubota insurance. (RTV1140 and B2620 FEL BH). If I buy a Kubota that stays on my home property all of the time then it's covered by my Homeowners policy at no additional cost but the Kubota insurance is better coverage but has to be paid for.
Each person has to determine their affordability, financial situation if suffering a lose and "sleep" factor to determine their level of insurance. Kubota financing does require insurance coverage to cover their money in case of lose, whether it be Kubota insurance, Homeowners or Marine policy. Pay the loan or pay cash and then it's totally your need and your lose.

You had better make the call to your home insurance agent and see what they have to say. For me I had to add it to the insurance rider that I already have for some other odd things that I want specifically covered.
In the end using the Kubota insurance was more inexpensive then using the home owners insurance rider. The dealer told me that more and more home insurance companies are not just covering it anymore....guess they want all the money they can get.
Kubota also has different deductibles...I got mine with a $500
It was not only cheaper for me to use Kubota insurance than homeowners, the deductible was lower, I could use it off-property, commercially & in a pile if other ways homeowners would not cover. I'm with American Family for homeowners.
I have the Kubota insurance and do not own one. Mine covers JD 3320 with FEL & BH, MX5 mower, box blade, scraper, metal barn, 14kw generator and had covered our Polaris UTV until I sold it. Cost was slightly over $650 per year.
Recently covered over $2000 in Polaris repairs when a bear had it for lunch. Great company and no hassle. Called with issue, they had it picked up, repairs approved via local appraisal and some added by phone.
