Does Kubota make the spool valves for thier hydraulics, or do they get them from another supplier.
I've been looking for a 2 position 6 way 12v diverter valve, does anyone know where I can find one.

Not sure if your terminology is right or not... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Do you mean you are looking for:

* A solenoid operated hydraulic valve that operates on 12 VDC?

* Which has six sections that each will move a double acting cylinder in and out?

Generally, from what I understand, a 4-way control valve will move a double acting cylinder in and out. Then variations can be added to that control valve, to give a float detent, spring return or whatever.

I am not sure what a six-way control valve would do.

So my guess is that for a tractor application you really want a six-position 4-way solenoid operated control valve.

Prince hydraulics has web site where you can download a PDF catalog of their control valves, including the solenoid valves if I remember right.

I doubt that kubota manufacturers control valves like those used on their loaders...but I could be wrong.

Hope this helps get some answers coming...

Welcome to TBN, by the way.

A 6/2 valve would be used to add a electrical controlled function to the loader spool valve. When off, the bucket controlls normal, when energized you use the dump and roll spool to controll a grapple.

It appears that you are going to be doing something similar to me. For winter I replace my bucket with a special attachment that holds what used to be a rear blade. In operation I use both the lift and curl functions. This year I am adding a power angle and was looking for ideas on how to incorporate it. Some of the experts here at TBN gave me some ideas to think about. One of them was to use a 12 volt DC diverter valve whereby flipping a switch would allow the curl and roll spool to temporarily operate a new cylinder to change the angle of the blade. The idea being that I don't need both functions at the same time. It was suggested that the DC operated diverter valve would be an inexpensive way to go. But after checking around I couldn't any inexpensive diverter valves, even manually operated ones. So I'm going with a simple open center double acting valve that I will plumb in series with the loader valve. The valve I chose from Surplus Center was just as inexpensive as any diverter valve I've found. I'm currently waiting for my parts to come but I can let you know how it all works out when I'm done.

Kubota has used several manufacturers for their loader valves over the years. Most recently they have used proprietary designed Husco valves. Husco will give you no support for the Kubota valves. As others have suggested, either use a 12v diverter or go with another open center valve with power beyond.

BTW, your valve terminology is incorrect. You probably really want a 3-position (up/center/down) 4-way valve, with either detents to hold the up/down or spring return to center. The differences between a 3-way and 4-way valve have been explained here before. Just do a search on 4-way to get the info.
