Kubota Grass Bagger worth it?

I am looking at adding a bagger for fall use. I actually like the mowing with the fine cut 54" deck without bagging, though I cut pretty often and the results look great to me. But when the fall comes heavy debris and leaves will need something more. Does anyone here own the bagger and does it work well and any other thoughts? thank you

I have the PTO bagger on my BX2360 with 54 inch mower. It works great and it was well worth the money. I mow about 5.25 acres weekly and bag it all, including miscellaneous bush trimmings that I clean up with the bagger.

If I just want to mulch some leaves, I remove the three bags and let it go through the bagger and blow out the back, it distributes the leaves loosely, kind of blows them out into the wind.

Been using it about 2 years and the only thing that I have to do is occasionally adjust the large plastic conduit tubing. Once in a while if the grass is real thick and wet and I'm going too fast, the output cowel from the cutter gets filled and I have to pull out the plug - really doesn't happen much since I figured out how much it can take.

I recently bought a used bagger to use with my BX22 and 54" mower, only mowed with it a few times and it works well. Some here have experienced some issues with mounting/removal. There are some informative threads on the subject on this forum which you will find if you do a search.

Hi , I recently acquired used a GCK54-24b grass catcher for my RCK54-24b mower deck and just spent the last couple days and this afternoon , heating -bending, cutting ,welding , drilling,sand blasting and painting every mounting bracket that holds the blower to the deck , so that it would fit. I also had to change out the drive-line shaft with a new one that came extra with the grass catcher because it needed to be longer to work. When its done Im sure that Im gonna love it on the grass, but let me tell you, if you buy a used one, and alot are not made anymore, make sure it fits your deck. Maybe consider the tow behind one size fits all ones like agri-fab makes.

I used a bagger on my BX 22. It worked great, it was also a pita to put on if I was solo. Everything is easy to hook up till you get to the top pin. All in all I think they are well worth the money

I have a GCK60-23BX catcher that I purchased with my BX2360 and RCK54-23BX mmm last year. I used it all season, lots of willow trees that are always littering the yard, and love it. The newer model is easier to attach, the last time it took me about 5 minutes. My dealer told me that the catcher is tractor/deck specific, so a used unit will probably require some additional parts.

I've always craved one, but I spent some money on a pig in a poke..bought on an Ebay auction a deck, and two grass catchers, and all attachment linkages, etc for a B series instead of a BX. Silly me. I still need to sell all that stuff. I have quit crying about it, since I only paid $400 bucks, and SOME parts could be used on my BX deck if needed.

In the end, I wound up buying a JD rider with grass catcher new, but at a great price, well less than the BX catcher would cost, so I use the rider now, and use the BX only for tractor work. If the JD dies, or lets me down, I can put my BX deck back on and mow. My buddies think it could be better for the yard, since the JD is lighter, so may not compress my soil as bad, but no actual calculations were done to prove that.

On problem this settled is that the JD fits in my garage no problem, but my tractor could not fit in its building with the bagger on anyway.
