Tractor
none presently.
The Kubota Grand L6060 is a tractor I am considering buying. So far I have not heard of anyone having one. I would be interested in anyone's viewpoint of this tractor and what they think of it. Thank you.

I have two L6060's and a L5740 right now. I use them mainly for commercial snowblowing. They are very productive and fairly comfortable. The first units auto regeneration button having to be pressed everytime you went out is a bit of a pain but they seem to have taking care of that with the second unit. The early units had too small of alternators but once upgraded by the dealer it is fine. Lots of room in the cab compared to to L5740.

How is fuel use on the 6060's compared to the 5740? Also curious what is a pain about the regen button? I'm not really considering getting a new one, but a guy has to keep up with the new models...at least that's my excuse.

By the numbers the 6060 gets 15.6% better fuel economy at 232 gm/kW hr vs 275. Also it has 15% torque rise vs 6%. I've only demoed one and found it much Berger than my 5740; trying to justify.

It's good to hear they have improved power and economy but with mine only being about 2 1/2 years old and a little under 400 hours I can't justify a new one, not for lack of trying though. Lol

I would say they are pretty close in fuel consumption. The gauge says it averages 4.8 litres per hour while snowblowing. It is a pain having to remember to push the auto regen button each time you start the tractor. If I forget to push it and it is time for a regen and I miss it it has to be parked to regen. My newer L6060 automaticly goes into auto regen mode unless you push the park regen button. I can notice a slight increase in power and roadspeed over the L5740 but nothing huge like when I went from a L5030 to a L5740.

Fuel consumption seems about the same or maybe better than my 5240, that is good to hear with the new emission engine. Most of what is posted on here (a lot of times by people who don't own one) is that the new emissions system use a lot more fuel. I agree that the button set up on your newer machine makes more sense.

The reason for needing to push the button to select automatic was to avoid a regen, with its associated heat, starting in a building. I have no problem pressing my auto button on my M135GX. It's right by my shuttle lever which I need to move anyway. However I did once forget to press auto. In that case I was alerted when the yellow light indicating it was time for a regen started flashing. In that case I then pressed the auto button and continued my work. I guess the Grand L 60's differ from the Grand X. I've only found positive things.

If you can hit the auto button at any time then I agree it's not a big deal. It would be nice to have the ability to delay a regen depending on what you're doing.

The first generation of the l6060 is similar to your M135GX. At the first warning you can press the auto botton and it will regen but if by chance you have stepped out of the tractor with it running at that extact time I beleive you will have to do a park regen. But I guess the same thing will happen with the 2nd generation system because chance are if I was out of the tractor the engine rpm would not be high enough for a regen.
