kubota gr2110 water pump

I thought had a bad block or at least a problem with my water pump. i took off the water pump and it seems there is a small hole on the side of the pump (that looks factory)is it replaceable or do I need a new pump?) was this some form of "relief"? from factory?

Probably a weep hole. When the bearing and seal goes out they usually leak from that hole which is better than water getting thrown all over the engine and also allows you to see the problem.
