Kubota Front End Mower

Is this worth considering as a good deal?

I can buy a used 1992 Kubota front mower with a 25hp diesel engine, 4wd, canopy, 2300 hours, 61"(?) mower, and front blade for $3,000. My initial impression is that it is in good shape. I still need to have a test drive /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I can get his 6.5' x 16' tandem axial trailer with a brake for $400 more.

What should I expect to repair or replace on this type of Kubota? My feeling is that this mower should have a few good years left.

You might want to post this in the Kubota Buying forum - probably have some folks out there that actually have one of these guys. I don't, but I've priced new mowers of this type and you're looking at a pretty good deal. The only concern I'd have is the number of hours - 2300 can be a lot if the thing wasn't carefully maintained.

But I don't know enough about that kind of mower to get into specifics. The motor and transmissions would be the biggest concerns (most $$$ to fix), and that'll depend a lot on maintenance.

And $400 for a good trailer isn't bad, either.

How do I do a multiple post?

Do I need to retype everything, or is there a simplier way?

That sounds to me like a very good deal, Dave, if it's all in good condition. And what do you mean by "multiple posts"? If you mean to put the same thing in other forums, you can always hold the right mouse button down while you run over what you've typed; i.e., highlight what you want, click on "edit" and "copy", then go to the new location and click on "edit" then "paste" to copy the text you want in a new place.
