Kubota financing number

Earlier, after building a tractor online with the Kubota website I applied for financing. Instead of a pre-approval, I was given a conformation # and told to contact a dealer and they would contact Kubota and retrieve the decision. I assume this has come up before on this board, but I cant find any related postings to this in the search.

Can anyone tell me what this number means? Obviously I did not receive a pre-approval, so am I to assume it was a NO?

fluxed... The confirmation number is your application number so the dealer can assist you. Just because you didn't get an auto approval doesn't necessarily mean you were declined. A lot of times there is something missing on the application and the dealer will help your application process to get the final decision.

What I did was built my tractor on line as you did,after that pick a dealer in your area and download the credit app.What I did next was fill out the credit app.and sent it by mail(USPS) to my dealer of choice three days later dealer called said credit was approved when would you like your new tractor.The rest is history I now have my KUBOTA M7040 TRACTOR and couldn't be happier....hope this is of help.Marvin

When you built on line that is full retail. Is that what you paid?

I felt that it was a gimmick to get me into the physical dealer. I did go to the dealer, who checked my ID, got some other basic information, and was approved that day. This process took about 20 minutes, but part of that was because the person doing the checking had misunderstood and thought I was planning on signing paperwork that day.

Now that I think about it though, its probably a good idea for them to check ids first, instead of having a way to randomly plug IDs and SSNs into a web form, to see which SSNs have good enough credit history.

we've done a few of these so far. We are to check your drivers license to do identity verification, thats probably why it does not give out the decision online.

it is nice if you don't want to hand the salesmen all your personal info and SSN for privacy reasons.

Firstly, thanks for all the responses.

I visited a dealer and after answering a few questions and showing my DL, I was approved for the 0/0/60. A new tractor is in my near future!
