I had a friend in Wilkesburo, NC take me for a ride in his D900 Kubota UTV. I remarked that I love my D1100 but the power really dies off when I take hills. He proceeded to head up a med incline (pavement) and was able to do about 20MPH. My hills at the farm are gravel and alot steeper.
He said that his HAD been weak on hills but he had taken the UTV to the dealer and their lead Diesel mechanic had worked/tweaked his fuel controller (carborater thing) and had tweaked it about 5 times until it had consiberably more power. My friend did not know what the mech had done. Since I'm in the Roanoke, Va area I can't get my machine to that guy so.......DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT HE MIGHT HAVE DONE? My D1100 drops to about 8 mph on my steep hill, doesn't matter if I'm in high or low gear....I did put 14" wheels on it for terrain clearance but that shouldn't make much difference. I think I need headers and a 4BBL
