Another option for cold starting assistance is to go to a auto performance supplier like "Jegs.com" These guys who drag race like to keep the oil hot between pass's. You can purchase a heating pad type of thing that will attach to the oil pan and warm the oil. They are available in different wattage and can be removed easily before you go out on the track. No reason it would not work on a tractor to pre warm the oil for about a hour or so before start up.

I have a B2100, can anyone explain the location on block where the block heater is installed? Can you provide a link to illustration or a pic pleas? Thanks

I just did mine 2 weeks ago, very easy. It is on the exhaust side (remove that panel) and look for a large Hex head above a radiator hose.

If you google 'b2620 block heater installation' someone has posted excellent pics of what to look for.

The tools are as expensive as the heater (unless you already have a 17mm hex drive socket and a 35mm regular socket.) I borrowed the latter, thinking I could get away with an adjustable wrench but there was no room to do so.
