Kubota BX24
My 5 year old Kubota BX24 has an LCD display that is 90% all black when power is applied, I can't read anything. I had it tarped through the winter, but it fell off and I think snow melted on it. :ashamed:

I can't seem to find the part online. If I replace it will it reset my hours? I suppose I don't care cause I'll have this tractor forever. I do need to replace it so I know what my rpms are so I can run my attachments and the backhoe well.

Anyone know where I can start to repair this, or maybe this is a dealer job?

have you checked all the fuses. im sure that this panel would be waterproof.

i bet that theres a fuse that runs it

This is a problem that these BX24's suffered. It isn't wiring, it's a fault with the LCD display. The only way to resolve it is replace the display with a new one.

I'd touch base with Kubota and see if they'll send you the part. Mine was still under warranty when it blacked out and it was replaced at about 200 hours I think. Whatever the case, I wouldn't be surprised if Kubota helps you out. They've been good with other things and this problem was noted early on.

Good luck.

Oh yeah...welcome to TBN...

Interestingly the original part number has been superceded twice by another number. Hmmmm.....

Dealer wants $275 for a new instrument cluster. I didn't bite as I really don't need the thing to work, I've had it long enough now can set the throttle pretty much by ear. Good news! Two hours in the 95 degree weather here in the mountains in Maryland and it works!

It says 48 hours, that can,t be possible, can these things reset? (I've used at least 400 hours in six years, probably more)

hehe. your tractor will always be under warranty.

its 40 years old and only has 48 hours on it. Far as i know no hour meter can be reset.....no more than an odometer can be reset in a car. Do the idiot lights/gages still work??? it might be a costly mistake not to replace the cluster if you can't monitor water temp, oil pressure, etc
