Kubota BX 2670-1 is tier 4 AND more power ??

Greetings

Even the latest kubita bx brochures don't say it, And dealers don't seem to know it either. That the bx2670-1 since late fall somehow has "more power" . . And tier 4 category too.

So the bx 2670-1 was 25.5 horse power . . what is it now?? How does it change servicing or repairing costs?

The -1 change had nothing to do with the engine. These are under the DPF engine horsepower requirement and have been tier 4 compliant for sometime. -1 had nothing to do with that either.

Yeah, it's a Tier IV Interim machine, like most compact tractors have been since 2011. Tier IV Final only affects over 26 HP and kicked in for 2015.

Here is the Kubota announcement from late Sept. 2014

"BX70-1 Series
The BX70-1 Series includes the BX1870-1, BX2370-1, BX2670-1, and BX25D-1 models. All models include 3-cylinder Kubota diesel engines, ranging in horsepower from 18-25.5. Kubota made improvements to the ergonomics of the BX-1 Series tractor, focusing in particular on a new fully flat deck layout with left-side brake pedal to allow for more room for the feet. The BX70-1 series also features a new instrument cluster and new steering wheel position. It says Final Tier 4 . . . not interim. Also how did they boost power and still keep a 25.5 hp rating? Wouldn't boosting power automatically change horsepower rating?

Lastly . . does this change servicing requirements or costs?

Maybe they increased the torque output or achieved the horsepower at a lower RPM.

Actually Tier 4 final for tractors less than 25 HP was 2008 and tractors equal to or greater than 25 HP and less than 75 HP Tier 4 final was 2013. Actually

Massey's new dcuts have done just that - but the result is greater horsepower.

Yesterday at a Kubota dealer I walked around their crated bx product. To my surprise I saw a couple in crate bx2670-1 units that have a fancy golden decal right on the left side of tge tractor hood (and quite noticeable sized) . . the decal is the words EXTRA POWER.

The decal itself indicates an onboard flux capacitor, definately a noticeable boost in torque.

Not just any old flux capacitor . . But did I mention the decal was in gold lettering? That means its "fine wire" induced.
