Kubota B8200 HST

Hello everyone,

I just purchase a Kubota B8200 HST. The tractor wasn't running but seems to be intact. Glow plugs are working, injectors are getting fuel, and the compression seems to be there, but no go not even a little? Any ideals? The guy I purchased it from said it hadn't ran in years and didn't know why? Strange I know, but I didn't pay much for it... I put new fuel in it of course is there some kill switch to it OR???

I had a B8200HSTD for 12 years; it was a great tractor. It always ran great.

The only switch on the tractor was on the clutch; had to have clutch pressed or the starter would not kick over.

A couple things you might look at:
- is the kill knob pressed all the way in(lower right dash)? Is the cable/linkage working?
- Is the compression release all the way in(on lower left dash) and linkage/cable working?
- Is the fuel filter clean/new, and the fuel new? Fuel tank clean?
- Is the injector timing correct? My books went with my tractor when I sold it; not sure how to check it...
- It is getting fuel, but is the injector system properly bled out?

That D950 is a great little motor, albeit a little underpowered in the B8200 application(only 19hp). It also found its way in to a lot of other applications(sailboats, generators, ect). You might try googling specifically for that motor....

Here is some info out of D950 motor manual
