Kubota B8200 for $1000

A friend on mine came by today and was in a jam. He's selling his property and wanted to sell his Kubota B8200 quick. He said he'd take $1000 and I said okay. Oh well, I have a new tractor. Maybe a stupid move, but I figured I could sell it for the same if I didn't like it. It is a diesel with the hydrostatic transmission, a 60" belly mower and it runs.
From what I've read on this board the B8200 seems to be a strong reliable tractor.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Not knowing any thing more, I would say you got a steal, unless it has major mechanical problems and you may still come out ahead.

Hi Brazos,

The tractor seems to start easy and runs fine. The issues I do know about are that it needs a new front tire. Do you know where I can get a deal on a new or used turf tire, 24x8.50-12 in the greater Houston area? I also could use a seat.

Lots of Kubota dealers around town, I think there is a Landsdown-Moody out your way. Best place for parts is tractorsmart.com. Nice prices.

For the Tires try http://www.atoztire.com, A-Z tire. It took a bit of searching but I think this is the place I bought my Ags, no one else had them. Huge place on Dacoma near 290. Call first because the web site doesn't tell it all. good price to. I also think discount tire can order just about anything it you bring in the tire size and maker.

Yea, I was out looking for AtoZ Tire today and ended up at the Firestone store right there at Magnum near 290. They were able to order the same tire.

My next obstacle is the midmount mower. Mine needs a new bracket or two and the Lansdowne guy on 290 pulled up a schematic for all the linkage. But I still need to know how to raise and lower the midmount mower. Does it raise and lower by using the rear 3 point mechanism?

Sorry Griff can't help you there. Suggest going to tractorsmart.com and ask for a parts manual. This could give you an idea of where things go. They use to send you an email with a link to a PDF file. New owners so I'm not sure if the procedure is the same.
