kubota B8200 Alternator Rebuild

my first post on this terrific site and wanted to say thanks to the author of the rebuild on the Kubota alternator,terrific information and valuable as well. I wonder if anyone has been able to adapt a one wire alternator to this type Kubota, if so what alt. did you use and what type of adapter was used. Thanks again, I am very appreciative of this site. welcome to tractor by net i will supply a little bit of info for you your tractor has a permanent magnet charging system it basically is there for the starter and possibly lights your original number for alternator is 15331-64016 these can be bought off internet for about $150.00 just google kubota b8200 alternator go to ebay hunt one from an actual supplier who has a return policy if possible. now to your original question it can be done but because of space restraint not easy or cheap the replacemnt unit would have to mount oustide of hood cowling if you want to pursue this just repost and will try to find info for you good luck
