Hope someone can help with this. My company purchased a B7610 about a month ago and we've had problems with starting and keeping it running from the get go. When I try to start it there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason but sometimes it will and sometimes it won't. You can try with the headlights on and then turn them off and it starts or maybe not. I have to get off the machine to unhook and hookup large metal bins. It often stalls when I get off and won't start again. Then I'll try it a while later and its fine. It stalled late last night and I've tried to get it going 3 times this morning but no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks, Chris

New machine? Used?
If it is stalling when you get off, might be a safety switch under the seat. If all levers are not in neutral, she ain't gonna start. Let us know if all safety protocols are followed and it still won't start or stay running.

Thank you for your reply Mike. There is a safety switch under the seat. When I start everything is in neutral. When I get off I put everything in neutral and set the emergency brake as instructed by the dealer.

I'm not familiar with the 7610 specifically, but since its new and never been run out of fuel (has it??, if so think air in the fuel lines), I would think about the shut off solenoid either being defective, or the wiring to it shorted or open, or one of the safety switches being bad. Solenoid should be on or near the injector pump (where all the injector lines lead to). You should be able to see it plunger on and off with the key. If not, start tracing wires and checking switches, or, better yet, get the dealer to do it under warranty. You might find that one of the switches is just not adjusted properly.

Thanks Mike! I think it is an elecrical problem. I'll take a look at the solenoid AND contact the dealer.

It probably is an electrical problem. Poor connection somewhere.

Make sure that you are not clipping the PTO lever on the left wheel well when dismounting. Engaging the lever will shut the tractor off when you dismount. My guess is that this is your problem..from personal experience.

Thanks Everyone!

The problem turned out to be the dealers starting instructions. I was told to warm the engine for 20 seconds, press the clutch then turn on the ignition. Turns out it really does'nt need the warmup and its best to turn the key for starting as you press the clutch down. No problems now!

Thanks Again, Chris
