Tractor
kubota B7500
I recently purchased a b 7500 with 141 hrs on it. the tractor has been awesome!!!! im looking to get a loader this coming summer and a rear mower right now. can anyone reccommend a good rear mower for this tractor? my property is 50% flat and 50% hilly. ive been looking at used woods rm59 mowers, is that a pretty good mower? also, can you get kubota filters online anywhere?

I wouldn't go any bigger than a 48" as the pto is only 16 hp on the hst, 17 hp on the gear model. Great tractor, i have the same tractor. I purchased it brand new in 2000. Best equipment purchase ever in 20 years of lawn care. I have a hst,4+4,heated curtis cab,302 loader, turf tires,2650 front snowblower,2019 front blade, sitrex fs 150 rear spreader, demco 30 gallon rear boom sprayer, lesco 15 gallon front boom sprayer, woods pl 60 rear core aerator, landpride quick hitch, landpride 1560 york rake, landpride 1542 rotary cutter and bucket forks.

The RM 59 is a good mower, but the newer models RM550 side discharge model & RD6000 rear discharge model both have 4 wheels and to a much better job of mowing and following the terrian. The rear discharges models require less hp & burn less fuel as it lets the cut material discharge across the width of the deck and your not trying to move cuttings from one side to the other. A downside to the rear discharge is trying to mulch, because of the open back design it does not do a good job mulching. Both of the above models are 60" cut and your tractor will handle them fine. When transporting the mower with the lift up some fronts would help stabilize the tractor I have been using the RD6000 on a B8200 for about 4 years the 8200 is 2 less hp than the 7500 & the only time that I could ues a little more power is in the area of the yard were the Bernuda gass and septic lines are when I haven't got around to mowing soon enough.

Congrats on the B7500. I have one and it's ideal for my application - 2+ acres to mow at home and another 5 or so nearby. I use a Landpride 5' RFM on the 'Bota, and a Caroni 5' RFM on an older Ford.

There's a difference in weight when comparing mowers. The B7500 handles the Landpride well, and if the Caroni is connected, it feels like it's not even there.

The Ford, a 1210, handles the Caroni, but is too small for the Landpride...............chim
