Kubota B7100DT 3 point lift

Hi, new user here. I just bought a 1980 Kubota B7100DT, with loader and shredder attachments, 1100 hours. The loader bucket stays in position when raised to any point, with tractor running, the 3 point hitch leaks off and the shredder goes to the ground. I don't believe this is supposed to happen. I have read that adding STP will help this. Is this true, and how much STP to add? Thanks in advance.

Read the above - I have no opinon on the matter...

If you just bought the tractor, do you know when the oil was changed and what was used? If not, I would change everything and don't use anything cheap.

Most likely you need to replace the o-ring on the piston for the 3pt lift. Search my old posts as I have done this and made a post about it. Pretty easy fix.

Repaired 3 point lift, new seals on piston and cover. Over an hour and only leaked down a bit, with engine shut down. Only thing differant from instructions was that the piston came to the top with arms all the way down. But it is much better now, only 50 cents for o rings.
