I took my starter solenoid off to clean up the wiring and can't figure how to engage the little hook on the end of it's arm back into the starter housing. It looks like it should grab onto the arm in the back? I put it back together and tried to crank the starter. Everything seems to work fine except once I turn on the starter it just keeps on cranking and I have to disconnect the battery terminal too make it stop? I should have never taken it off. It came off easily. How to put it back together is a mystery.
HELP

Are you sure you wired it back the way it was? Even on simple stuff I often snap a phone pic before disassembly. Did you do any other wiring at the time you removed the starter?

Hold your drive gear forward, this moves the shift arm back making it easier to hook the sol. plunger to the lever, don't forget the return spring, sounds like its just out of place.

Thanks for the advise. I didn't have the hook on to the drive gear. It works like a champ now!
