I have a b6200 with a front loader and a 3 speed trans. Recently put on a new control valve for front loader and changed hydraulic fluid and cleaned the screen on the bolt on the right side of the trans. The front loader works great and smooth but now the 3 ph will not lift even its own weight except at full rpm's and it worked fine before all of this, is there another screen or filter located somewhere that i have missed or dont know about? any suggestions would be really helpful and appreciated Thanks.

Sounds like your loader control valve didn't contain a "Power Beyond" port.

I'm sure you'll get much more intelligent answers from people who know a lot more than me.

I only say that, because if you search, you see a thread by me with the same problem. I was missing the PB port :)

Welcome to TBN:D

I also think it's related to the PB port or "plug". Two questions:

1. What valve did you use?
2. How many hoses connect to it, 6 or 7?

Thank You Both alot. Got a new loader control valve from northern has hook ups all the same as the one before, the valve has a total of 7 hose hook ups. I have traced the line from the 3 ph control to the pump, and have tried shutting off the lever that allows fluid to go to the front loader control valve to no avail. The 3 ph works just that same with it shut off or left on, I am going to try and see when I next get the chance if the line is maybe plugging up from gunk since when I changed the fluid it was kind of dirty. I can work on cars but tractors just have me confused.

OK, since it has 7 hoses the it does indeed have PowerBeyond.

1. Did you install a "powerbeyond" plug in the new valve? (usually a separate part)
2. What valve did you use? Give me a part # or a link..."new loader control valve from northern" does not help me much

OK, now I can help you:D

The valve you have has "power beyond" capability ONLY when the optional sleeve is installed, and since you have 7 hoses-you need this power beyond sleeve.

That is one reason I do not like Northern Tool (second is the shipping is high), They do not get detailed in the descriptions. Take a look at the this link to the Surplus Center to see detailed info for your valve, also notice in the "related items" on the right the PB plug.

Thank You alot!! I Looked up the link and ordered the PB plug so that should do it. Once again thank you very much for the help. I can agree I'm not ordering from northern again, I only did it that one time because the part was on sale for real cheap.
