I just purchased an ROPS from Kubota for my B6100HST and have an installation problem. The tractor has a mid-mount Kubota mower and the cables that raise the mower attach to linkage that is suspended from the top arms and attached to plates that are bolted onto each side of the PTO housing.

The ROPS instructions do not mention these plates and it does not appear that they can be re-installed once the ROPS is installed. The plates attach using the same six bolts on the side of the PTO housing that the ROPS uses. Has anyone encountered this problem?

I have a mid mount mower on my 6200. The mower lift is done by brackets and rods that attach to the lower 3pth pivot. Maybe this would work for you leaving the pto cover bolts open for the rops. Let me know if youd' like pics or info of the mower lift.

I once installed a ROPS on my B7100. According to the installation instructions, the B7100 and the B6100 use the same ROPS. It makes life a lot easier if you have two people to hold & support the new ROPS during installation while a 3rd person bolts it on.

You have to remove the old PTO shield. To get the shield off, you have to remove the 3 bolts on each side of the PTO shield. The 3-point lift arms are attached to a shaft that runs through the PTO shield. The shaft has to be removed to get the PTO shield off. I took off one rear tire and slid the shaft out. My B7100 shaft was slightly bent on one end, so I had to be careful which direction to slide the shaft out of the PTO shield.

You should be able to discard the original PTO shield and the bolts that held it on. Use the new "heavier duty" bolts supplied to attach the new ROPS with integrated PTO shield. Be sure and slide the shaft back through the new PTO shield before tightening the bolts.

I can't remember how I attached the seat belts.

Hope this helps,
Kelvin
