Kubota B2910 Steering box leak

Hi Guys,
I have a drip drip leak from my steering box. The machine is a yr 2000 machine so 17 yrs old only 650 hours. Anyway I called the dealer and asked the price of a steering box and was told over 1400 bucks... Ouch... So the upside is the guy can't ever remembering ordering one in 20 yrs and says it is most likely the seal.

Has anyone ever done a seal on a steering box?

By "Steering Box", would I be correct in assuming that you are having a leak in the Power Steering Pump? I also have a B2910...2002 model...and I had a couple of minor leaks last year...loader cylinders, mostly. I added a few ounces of Lucas Oil Hydraulic Oil Booster and Stop Leak to the Super UDT, and within a few hours use, all the leaks stopped. You might want to add a few ounces of this good stuff to your tractor, and see if it helps....certainly a lot cheaper than buying or rebuilding a pump.

Let me ask... If you look at the steering box you have the physical box with the worm gear and sitting on top you have essentially a hydraulic motor/ actuator on top.
I have not pulled the cowl off yet to see where exactly the leak is... but I'm pretty sure it's a seal as I replaced one of the lines last year.

I've looked at the parts diagram and I think the best move will be to pull the box and have a bench rebuild at the dealer...
