I'm considering the B2650 as my first tractor. We have a few acres of flat open terrain, 2 acres used for horse pasture.

Also looking at a Kuhns compact 205 hay grabber (4 small squares, flat Or 5 bales on edge) to help with unloading tasks. Probably go thru around 400 small square hay bales annually.

So far, I haven't been able to find complete specs for the loader...id like to know what the loader will lift at carrying height of around 1.5 meter, roughly at the 3 to 4 high stack level. Wondering about the loader lift curve and what the capacity would be at roughly this height.

The small squares weight on average 65 pounds each. The Kuhns compact grabber is about 340 pounds, dimensions of 36"x72".

Appreciate any and all information appreciated.

I don't know if it will help, but the Kubota loader model number tells you how much it will lift in kilos. The LA534 lifts 534 kilos at the end of the arms without an attachment. If you are talking about lifting traditional rectangular bales 18"x36", what we call 2 stringer bales, the LA 534 will lift a bunch of them weighing up to 50# each to 6' height using pallet forks. I double stack them on pallet forks 2 wide, 3 high (6 at a time). Any higher and they would need to be tied down to keep from wobbling off. The 205 weighs 340#, 5 green bales up to 50# each is 250#. You will really know you have a load up front, but if you are on flat terrain with adequate counter weight, the 2650 will handle it (you will need a remote). I do believe if you are running over 500# hanging off the front a lot, I'd look for a heavier tractor. I routinely lift a full 55 gal tank of diesel on a heavy pallet out of my pickup. If you don't mind stacking the bales by hand, pallet forks will greatly increase your lift capacity as a 2000# pallet set isn't very heavy and you can easily carry six bales, more if you tie them down.

Actually, it's 530kg, and the "4" on the end is the revision of the loader.

Hopefully a B2650 owner can make a photo or scan of his loader curve from the owner's manual and post it here. That will give the best answer to the OP's question.

So I visited the kubita site and worked up a retail cost for the b2650 with my particulars. Then, as prompted, I send a quote request to 3 dealers in Montana, in located just outside Billings, MT. I got a call from just one if the dealers so far. He mentioned that I should just deal with my local dealer. I most likely will do that, but I was surprised that he did not want to deal with me since I'm a couple of hours away. It would gave been nice just to see the other dealers quotes..

Hi Terry, that's exactly what I was looking for. Looks like the 534 will lift all that I need it to. From the curve, I see that the further out from the pins, the lift capacity decreases. The bale grabber I'm considering extends out 36 inches. Total weight with 4 hay bales would be approx 600 pounds. Based on your experience with the B2650, would you feel confident it would lift this bale grabber up to around 5 feet? That's plenty high enough.
