Tractor
Kubota B2601
Has anyone done theirs yet?
How many drain plugs are under the B2601 for the Trans & Hydraulic fluid?
The manual is so confusing.
I don't want to remove every single bolt underneath the tractor.
****, I have Japanese Vehicles. When I crawl underneath my Tacoma or Camry to do fluids?
Oil, Transfer Case, Differential?
It's a no brainer.
I come up to the plugs and it agrees with what I'm looking for.
All of the plugs have a Green Paint mark on them.
Also, there aren't several plugs just to drain a differential.
Kubota doesn't want owners to perform their own servicing

You're about the only guy among the thousands on here complaining about doing this job on a Kubota B -- I hope you realize that. I've been on here since 2011 and don't ever remember so much complaining about a 50 hour service on a B. It's really not that hard.

Just did mine. 3 drain plugs, make sure which filter goes where. Use SUDT2 fluid. Read tractor manual took me about 1 hour.
Drop mower Deck
Drain fluid
Repl. Filters
Add fluid
Start and idle, turn steering back and forth a bit.
Check fluid level if necessary.
My dealer was good to go with me doing service, I bought all the stuff from him. As long as you
do not screw anything up, hard to do, there is no issue.

This guy has more than tractor issues, LOL Because he posted this same thing on April 21 and got all his answers and he replied on that date that he figured it out.

Why is this posted again on April 25th???

From April 21:

Okay, I'm all set.
I just drained the oil. " Photo "
First off, I'd like to apologize.
I'm feeling like a Troll right now.
Thank you " Everyone " for trying to help me out.
I've been cooking and drinking since last night, multi tasking with the Tractor, weekends are way to short trying to fit everything in.
To much JD right now. LOL.
I asked my wife to come out to the garage and showed her a photo in the manual of what to look for.
She immediately said WTF? Where are you?
The bottom of the engine is over here.... I was fumbling about underneath the middle of tractor.
Just say NO to booze when working on your Kubota.

I'm working on draining the Trans Fluid now. Yes, the Engine Oil is squared away. It was totally my Screw up going underneath the tractor while **** faced. I'm working on the trans and I haven't had a drink. I'm thinking about it though. LOL.

OK...it's me that's messed up then, LOL. I thought the first post you made was about the trans/hydro oil.

Anyway, the pics I posted to you in the first post you made was for the trans/hydro drain.

Sorry for the confusion, LOL

No problem. I'm the one that's confused. What can I say. My first Tractor and I've never rolled beneath one before. Is it me, or is it these photos? Doesn't this look like you're looking for four drain plugs?

Yes. Those are the four for the trans/hydraulic. I've been missing that front one all along on mine, LOL.

I only knew about the one on the mid PTO snub and the two bottom drains on the rear drive case.

And my manuals show the double sump engine oil pan with the two drains but my tractor only has a single sump on the engine with one drain.

Ok,,, there are four plugs and not three that I need to look for?
I'm no longer aggravated.
I haven’t been drinking.
I'm willing to learn basic maintenance for my new Kubota.
Help me out folks…
I phoned both Messick’s and my Dealer Service Departments.
Both needed to call me back.
Both said three plugs.
I think I’m going to Call Kubota and speak with the person from India?
Lol

The top pic that says front case drain plug....I have never taken that one out on an oil change. I missed that one completely. But I just read on another forum that it has oil in it?

So I don't know yet. I'm not due for next oil change so I'm not taking it out, LOL.

For some reason I was thinking it was just a moisture drain like on an ATV CVT clutch, and not a fluid reservoir.
