Tractor
Kubota L2800 HST with loader
My local Kubota dealer took in on trade a 2001 B2410 with FEL. It has 210 hours on it and appears to be in pretty good shape other than a busted head light cover, etc. They want $8500 is this a good price.
Also how powerful are these tractors. I mainly want it to mow (bush hog)between pine trees in the 3 acres behind my house and harrow food plots for deer. I would also use the FEL to move dirt and move burn piles. My family owns a FarmTrac 435 which is a 35 HP tractor with a larger frame and heavier weight. It easily pulls a 4 ft harrow and a 4 or 5 ft. bush hog. Would the B2410 be able to do the same thing even though it is much smaller frame wise and HP wise? Thanks in advance.

i "think" i am right about this: about 24 hp: is it manual or hydrostat transmission? the price seems great to me: if its been taken care of: if its hydrostat, look at the filters on the transmission, a lot of people do not do the 50 hour maintenance, which means they do not change the fluid or filters on the transmission: one of them that comes from the factory is a different color than the replacements: i was looking at a 24?? model last year, without a fel, an they wanted 6500 for it: with about 400 hours: went back to buy it an it was gone. good luck, if i hadn't bought my 7610, i would want to know where the 2410 is located..

Sound like fair price..ask dealer let you try it out in the his yard..check for odd noises, handling, fel operation,etc..

My X B7100HST (less horse power than B2410) would strain little working 5' brush hog also more weight was needed up front..traded for 4'brush hog,so there shouldn't be problem B2410 handing 5'bush hog once you get the feel operating.
B2410 should have problem pull 4'harrow..did that w/my X B7100HST.

unfortunately my local dealer sold it before I could make up my mind. I was supposed to go drive it today but he sold it Wed. for $8000. Oh well. I have a friend who wants to sell his L2800 for $10500. It has FEL, HST, 4wd,. It has 459 hours on it and comes with a rotary mower and box blade. That is more than I wanted to spend but it is also more tractor. Is this a good price? It seems good to me.

That seem like fair price if tractor was taken care of,and shouldn't have problem pulling or pto attachments in your earlier post.

L2800HST w/fel loader starting at $17.500.oo in our area.

In earlier postings some had problems w/newer L2800 3pt. hitch being jerky.

two L2800 tractors sold this year, both with less than 200 hours on them: 4wd, fel, hst: both went for 12k or over. your price seems pretty good..

I would own a B2410 had I not stoped in at my kubota dealer and fell for the BX23.

I got shafted! My friend renigged on his initial price of $10500 for the L2800 with the rotary mower and box blade. He wanted an additional $1500 for a 22 ft. trailer. I stopped by to see him today and he said that he got to researching and looking over his receipts and realized that he spent $1700 for the rotary mower and the local kubota dealer (one of his friends) said he could get atleast $11000 for the tractor alone. Now he wants $12000 for the tractor, rotary mower and box blade or $14000 with the trailer also. He apoligized for just throwing a number out there before really checking into it. This does me no good though because I had really gotten my hopes up about owning a Kubota! It is probably worth it still but this price is out of my range.

That's too bad. I know you are disappointed.

That said, if you have $10K+, there are an awful lot of good, almost like new tractors out there. The economy being what it is. Patient searching is difficult, but it pays dividends. You'll find it. Oh, and don't be surprised if your friend gets back to you after trying to sell his for a few weeks. My guess is that you'll likely hear from him again.
