Kubota B2400 Mower Deck How-to Question

Hi All,

Just bought a used B2400 Kubota. Tractor seems to run really nice, but I cannot for the life of me find how to hang the belly mower so it doesn't lower with the 3 point. I have a box-blade and the primary use for the tractor is to keep my long, sloping driveway dressed up. But I would prefer not to have to pull the mower deck off each time.

Anyone know of a way to hang it to the bottom of the tractor so it doesn't lower?

On my midmount mower there are 2 small brackets at the rear of the mower deck, on the lowering mount brackets. You remove the hair pin that holds the mounting pin in then put the bracket over the mount pin to hold the deck up while the arms lower. The bracket is just about 3" long with 2 3/4" holes in it. mower deck is still stored for the winter so I don't have any pictures.

Thanks. I've looked around under there and could not figure it out. I finally just used the front loader to lift the wheels up and took the thing off. Seemed like a lot of work (since I have to re-attach it to mow) but I needed to use the box blade.

On my B7510 there are holes just below the upright posts that the mower raises up to. I stuck some pins through the holes which held the mower up out of the way for a bit of dirt work.

If you have an FEL that you can drive out from under disconnect it. Attach your box blade or other heavy 3 point. This makes your front end light, or it did on my 7510. Place a chock block in front of the mower and put the tractor in 4wd and let it crawl over the mower. At 64 I found this much easier than raising the wheels off the ground and dragging the mower out from under it.
