Hi, after having a close call nearlt rolling over recently and living on a hill side I thought I'd adjust the rear wheel track to full width. Checked the Manual and its a little cryptic "change the tread to the desired position" after undoing the bolt holding the wheel on.
Photos attached, Currently the rear wheels are fitted so the raised portion in the centre points out, after looking at the manual I assumed that I could just switch the tyres from one side to the other (to keep tread correct) and fit them with the raised portion (where the pinch bolt goes) facing inwards. I switched one wheel and could see I had less track width that before, because the centre disk part of the wheel does not attach to the outer rim centrally as showin in the diagram but is biased to one side. Anyways I also noticed I seem to have 9.5-18 tyres rather than the 9.5-16 listed. My track width currently is 910mm, but according to the manual it can go to 1075

What I am wondering is can safely I unbolt the center part of the wheel (the six bolts) and flip it round so it points the other way, so currently boss the pinch bolt is into it is pointing outwards, turn it so it so they are pointing inwards to the tractor and reattach the wheels?

I am thinking that is what the manual is telling you to do its just not translated very well

I would think that the last photo, which I would call dish out would give you a wider stance. However based upon the axle clamp style of hub, the width may be minimum.

Right, Ive gone ahead and unbolted the wheel centres and bolted them on the other side of the wheel and fitted the wheels with the cottor pin/raised bit to the inside. See photos.
This has increased the rear tyre width (centre to centre by a good 5 inches). All looks good so far.

Glad I did it as noticed a few things which were wrong, firstly one wheel had a loose cotter pin bolt, then now that the 6 wheel bolts are on the outside i could see the studs were only poking 2/3 of the way through the nuts as someone seems to have fitted very thick sping washers on top of the flat washers, so I removed the spring washers which meant the studs finished level with the end of the wheel nuts when they were torqued up.

Going to call that good!

You did it correctly in your second set of pictures. That is as far out as you can put them. That should make you feel much more stable on the hills.
