Kubota 2100
Tractor starts, but immediately stalls when key is released. I have drained fuel and replaced with fresh and have replaced fuel filter. Also have tried running without fuel tank cap in place to rule out vent blockage. Fuel seems to be flowing freely from tank (bowl fills rapidly.) Only thing I can think of at this point is fuel pump, but would it fire at all like it does when cranking? Thanks in advance.

Check fuse number 1 which is 5 amp key stop fuse.

Its prob. NOT fuel related..
MORE of an electrical problem.. bad shut off solenoid or fuse or relay or key switch..
U can remove the shut off solenoid, 2 bolts, but that isn't really gonna tell you anything.. other than its an electrical problem.
You have to trace the electrics.. & its not real easy w/o the book..

Agreed. Not a fuel system problem other than it is being commanded to shut off fuel.

Can you post another vid where we can see you turn the key so we can tell exactly how long it runs for when the key is returned to the run position?

It may very well be the ignition switch isn’t supplying power in the run position.

Does it make any noise when you turn the key to the run position (without engaging the starter)?

Thanks. I will try to take another video when I can get to it during daylight and will check to see if there's any noise with the key on but not engaged. To the best of my recollection I don't believe there
is any noise.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll start trying to trace the electrics.

I have the same problem with my Kubota B2100; your video clip shows the tractor doing the exact same thing as mine, and after weeks of trying to work it out, it is somewhat reassuring that I’m getting closer to finding the solution.

Can you tell me what the end result was with your Kubota?

I am not someone who knows much about mechanics, other than being able to start and run the tractor/slasher.

One of the suggestions you received was about the fuse for the ignition switch, I think…this sounds more likely to me because of the fact the key was lost so a toggle switch has been installed instead. The other thought I have had is that it has something to do with the starter - it seems like it is something very quick and simple but I have not been able to work it out - well, that’s stating the obvious!

Any advice would be immensely appreciated.
