Hi,

Just got my b7001 4x4 a couple of weeks back and someone snapped the key before it got to my place. The key part must have fell out of the ignition during transport so all I have is a key chain:D
I've been hotwiring it to get it to run.

Anyway, does anyone want to make a copy of their key and mail it to me?
I can prove that this is my tractor and not stolen

I have both a US and CDN address which ever is easier.
I'll send you money for postage and key cutting.

Thanks,
Nick

Wound it be simpler to just visit a dealer and get 2 or 3 keys?

If there was a dealer within a couple of hours of me, then I'd probably do that.

I've also heard that many dealers don't like to help guys with grey market kubotas.

I'm not sure if the b7001 has the same key as the b7100. Does anybody know?

It's not a question of whether or not they LIKE to help....they are under constraints from K USA not to service, provide parts, etc for the grey market models on penalty of losing their dealership. It's simply a business policy enforced by the distributor. Do some dealers violate it? Maybe, but not in our experience.

I would think it is the same as the B7100. Call Messick's and have 'em ship it to you. The come in pairs (I just bought a pair for my B7100).

Finally got my key. Turns out a local locksmith had a master.

it was just hard to find someone locally. I guess thats one drawback of living remote to any major city.

Now to start moving more dirt
