My Kubota backhoe model 4672 has a badly leaking boom cylinder. My problem is, I can not for the life of me figure out how to remove it. It is mounted inside the boom and I can not figure out how to take everything loose and get it out without damaging hose fittings and etc. Please, if anyone knows how to do this, I would very much appreciate a detailed instruction on how to get it done. Thanks in advance for any help.

If you lay it out flat take out the pins and disconnect the hoses off valve body slide the piston out then take the hoses off the piston

Thanks, but I have done most of what you said. Problem is, I can't figure out how to remove the line connections from the cylinder. They appear to go through the boom arm into the cylinder, and too, I can't get the cylinder piston to go forward back into the cylinder.

You can't take the piston out with the lines on it
