Thanks for the input, I believe I have solved my problem; I am going to install the ORC (over-run coupler) Hub City Inc - PTO Products on the Bush Hog itself. It does help save wear on the PTO clutch I have seen older small utility tractors (my old tractor included) with PTO clutch problems caused by the inertia from bush hog blades. Most hay balers, haybines and combines have an ORC already built in. The ORC only cost about $45.00, The six fiber and six steel clutch disc in my old Oliver 550 were ~ $35.00 each 15 years ago. Again thanks for the help; I will let you know how it works out.
