Hi guys, I have a three year old Kubota 2401 that has factory installed third valve from the dealership. Never tried to use the third valve until tonight and I don’t have any oil pressure through the valve.
When I disconnect the hose, furthest to the right, from the valve I have full oil pressure when I start the tractor. However, once the line is installed the valve just try to stall out the tractor when actuated.
It sounds like it is air bound but I’ve disconnected all lines and can I get oil to go through the valve. Is there some sort of adjustment I need to make? I took off the couplers so there was zero restriction and strictly half-inch open pipe. Thank you for your time.

Sorry to ask a perhaps obvious question but, do you have something connected to the couplers so that fluid can flow? If you have nothing connected then the fluid has no where to go when you actuate the valve.

What the others said plus you need to use actual hydraulic fittings, not the 300 PSI rated pipe fittings you have on there now.

Thanks for your interest in helping me. I had it hooked up to implement and had no flow.
Then removed both couplers so it was an open 1/2” pipe to double check.
In my excavator, skidsteer and multiple other tractor, oil should blow out the pipe once valve is activated.
Am I missing something here?
I’ve built many things with gas pipe that seen 2800 PSI and have never had a failure.

Haha, it’s Liquid tephlon tape which is designed for use with hydraulic specifically. Man, this forum is tough!

Don't matter one iota and it's Teflon btw and that will also destroy your hydraulic pump. Not a tough forum, just stating the obvious facts. Having said that, YOU will be the one that has to deal with the failures, not us.

Touché, but with hundreds of hydraulic line repairs/fittings and modification which are not O-ring fittings, I’ve experienced zero hydro pump failures due to liquid tephlone tape. Maybe I’m just lucky…
So now that we are past the tape issue, why don’t I have hydraulic oil beyond the valve?

Since you state actuating the valve try's to stall the tractor would point towards a plumbing problem in the valve. Have you confirmed that pump supply or pressure is connected to pressure port on the valve? Just looking at picture I think right side hose is power beyond but I cannot see any markings on valve to support this thought.
