Unless you are positioned squarely on the seat with all your weight on it, the engine will start to cut out.
It use to be only in the cold months that the seat switches would cut you out,
but now even in the warmer months the least weight shift starts to cut engine.
I was told that placing some extra foam in between the switch & seat will stop that.
I believe there are 2 switches - 1 for seat, 1 for seat back.
Has anyone done it with good results?

If it were mine, the switches would be jumped out.

Zip tie or elecrtical tape, if you can get to the switch.

Zip tied mine, hasn't shut off since. Mine only cut out if I leaned to the right, could stand up and move the tractor just couldn't lean.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to jump them out.

I had the same issue on my B7800 so I went out and bought 2 new switches, figured the second one would fail shortly after the 1st one (there are 2 on my seat set-up), anyway, the engine cut out issue got quite bad during a very dusty soil screening operation I was doing for a few days straight. I didn't want to waste too much time replacing the switches, so I sprayed WD40 right into the switches and the problem went away, and its been a year now and I still haven't changed out the switches... its interesting how micro switches get clogged up over time
worth a try gents...

If it is at all like an L3400, it's a switch with a nylon lever, readily accessible under the seat when it is tilted, and EASY to adjust.

For me, on my B7610, I made a 1/2" X 1" X 1" square made of scrap rubber from a horse stall mat. Epoxied it to the bottom side of the seat directly above the switch so that it would put a bit more pressure on the switch. Worked like a charm. I really do NOT want to override what that particular switch does. Can you imagine doing a roll-over or to fall off the tractor with your bush hog and still have that tractor running?????..... God bless.....Dennis

I was fortunate to not have any on mine, I love the fact I can stand to look down at the front easier. I would just jump them off.

Ya, my seat has been getting worse - probably dirt. Just sick of not being able to fully turn to see behind, so I'm going to jump the wires & eliminate the problem.

I have a BX, a B, a L and a M. The B and L have the switches disabled - I imagine it's just time till the others will need it.
