Buying Advice Kubota 323 ZTR 60" vs Graveley 460ZDX

Both Kubota diesels, Kubota has 23 hp Gravely has 25hp Pricing is within 500 of each other ....

I have a flat 15 acre farm with fencing currently used (and killed) a sears 26 hp briggs 52".

Kubota has 2 yr warranty and Hydraulic deck, Gravely has 3 yr warranty and manual deck.

Thoughts on which is better would be a great help.

Used mostly around fences and a small riding area
use a rotary cutter for about 8 of the 15.

I think it's a coin toss. It's impossible to make a bad choice among those two. The Gravely is built like a tank, but so is the Kubota.

I like the longer warranty and the manual deck of the Gravely. (I'd rather have a manual deck to allow feathering the deck a little bit over sticks, rocks, tree roots, etc.) And Gravely apparently has outstanding customer service from the factory, whereas Kubota maybe not so much. Also, the XFactor II deck on the Gravely is supposed to be truly outstanding.

The Kubota will probably hold its value a little better, but not enough to sway me if all else was equal.

I'd say try both of them and buy the one that feels the best to you. I've heard complaints about the controls of the Kubota being stiff, but I've never driven one.

I have a ZD326. Built extremely well. All shaft drive and very comfortable to operate. Ive seen units with over 4,000 hours on them that still run great and with minimal repairs. Depending on cutting conds 23 hp may not be enough HP if you wanna mow fast.
