New Products 2015 | Kubota Tractor Corporation

I was surprised no on has written this up yet, here is the new 2015 models along with my impressions.

Kommander 42" with KAW engine
-- good price point. Will sell well if consumer spending picks up next year (last year was a bust for consumer ZTR's)

Other Z7xx with KAW engines
-- our market does not demand this, others may.

B2320\B2620 replacement
-- added a few deluxe features and updated styling. Nice changes, old model was very competitive.. Kubota has owned this space for awhile.

BX drive over mower deck
-- looks good, demo'ed well, priced right, mechanically simple. They say way more reliable and Deere's with double the ground clearance. I've never been a fan of mower deck gimicks myself. It is nice for some people, just does not excite me.

L2501
--26hp standard L-series, no DPF. Big frame for this much HP, but there are applications for it. We're so used to seeing lots of engine HP... 10 years ago 26 Hp in this size would have been normal. Will appeal to anyone who does not want a DPF, not as cheap as you may expect.

MX5800
-- high HP MX, biggest hydro\utility on the market.

M5-series
-- Tier 4 final for M8660\M9960. Cab roof window, buddy seat, small changes. Hold on to your wallets! Tier 4 final is big $$$.

M6-series
-- Tier 4 final for M100X-M135X. Cab roof window, small changes.

M7-series
-- for us, highly antisipated. Fit and finished seemed very nice, it looks the part. Its heavier than the Deere and CNH equilivants which is really surprising. Only gotcha we found was that the 151 Hp model has 20 Hp power boost, while 171 only has 5. Kinda devalues 171 in some applications. The field demo was rained out, so we did not get to drive it. Options attractivily priced, and there are lots of them! CVT, Suspended front axle, cab suspension, CCLS hydraulics, 12" touch screen ISO BUS displays, etc... list goes on!

Many more hay tools.
-- we will dabble in these. Not just the toys any more. Balers, meaninful rakes and tedders, wrappers, etc. Many good products there. We sell many other lines, they are on the expensive side at list price. Retail programming has yet to come.

Skid Loader
-- looks good, spec's where it needs to. Classic Kubota, mechanically simple and elegantly done. Options are priced very well. Most of these will sell with shockless ride, self leveling, hydraulic couplers, etc. Hand\Foot controls for the first run, pilots for 2016. The cab is like the SVL, huge with roll up door. My only complaint.. tires on 65 hp model looked too small.

Excellent run-down. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the rundown. Interesting to hear about the L2501. When doing heavy ground engaging work, I sometimes feel like my L3200 needs more oomph. But for most other stuff I do, 25HP would be enough in that chassis.

I am real interested to see the new 2601 in person, and see how pricing works out since they added some nice upgrades over the old B2x20 models. Still a fan of the B-series from when I owned a B2920.

Thanks for the info. I have been wondering when they were going to replace the B2320 and 2620. Do you have any details on the BX drive over deck? I hope they did it better than Deere which it sounds like they did because it has more ground clearance. Hopefully if will save time unlike the Deere design. I was just talking about and "auto connect" deck on a BX yesterday. I said I would not be surprised if they did not offer one soon.

Thanks for the update!

Got my sights set on a Kommander. Spring time I suppose. Is there a right time of year to buy from a Kubota dealer?

Thanks Neil for the info. Kubota has been way behind Deere with their AutoConnect (in my opinion). The AutoConnect is very fast and easy and of course cost more. Adjusting the cutting height couldn't be easier, not that you change the height that often. Changing the cutting height on the belly mower on my B3030 is a royal PITA. When purchased it was set to 3 inches and never changed. OLD technology. And installing/removing the mower deck is time consuming even though I've gotten it down to a science. A friend of mine has the AutoConnect and it is very well made and quick. Stanley
