Kubota 1153 Loader specs on M5040 M6040 M7040

I recently bought a Kubota M5040 (HD/4WD/ROPS), and had gone back and forth for months (years?) before making my choice. A lot of the reason I bought this particular Kubota was the impressive lift capacity in the Loader. I really wanted to be able to unload a pallet full of material from the bed of my truck. Kubota publishes the specs for the max lift height, but i Had a hard time finding "half height" lift specs. Once I bought it, and cracked my user manual, I found what I WISH I could have found beforehand

So I took some pictures of it, and will post them here.

The short version (for my particular needs) of taking a pallet out of a pickup truck bed:

Height Setting:
36" (914mm) High -
* 31" (800mm) Forward - 2,425 lbs
* Pivot Pin - 3,500 lbs

Power Setting:
36" (914mm) High -
* 31" (800mm) Forward - 2,866 lbs
* Pivot Pin - 4,299 lbs

Disclaimer: These are my interpretations from visually reading the graph below. I'm not an engineer, and don't even have that good of eyesight, so you should double check these before relying on them

Yup, Kubota has lots of great specs in the various manuals that they don't publish in the ad material. I don't know of any other brands that have such complete loader and implement limitation specs (although the latter tend to be pretty conservative)

I just bought my M5040 and recently loaded hay bales over 2000lbs on my gooseneck 2 high without any issues,I also have a M7040 and the 5040 seems to handle them just as good.

Yes, those pages from the Kubota loader manuals are very informative indeed. Your 1153 loader can lift more that 1153 kg in power setting mode 800 mm in front of pivot point but not to full height.

Kubota also has some HP, Torque, and fuel consumption curves vs. engine RPM but the ones I've seen are hard to read, I would really like to see more detailed information. For example, Kubota publishes HP numbers at rated engine speed, although I never operate my tractor at rated engine speed. I'd be much happier with HP/Torque/Fuel numbers at various engine speeds, especially 540 PTO rpm engine speed.

Have you ever weighed any of those bales? What type hay and what brand baler? From photo the bales don't appear near 6 ft tall. I bale 4X5.5 bales of Coastal(after getting some rain) and they won't cross the scales over 1100#s and they are tight and below 15% moisture.

I have the same loader and it has handled the biggest round bales with ease.(and we have some pretty good size bales here in East Texas when we get some rain.) It's just another day at the office.

If i havent weight would have stated 2000lbs,what would I get outta saying I have a big bale. If you would also like to call the baler guy and ask I can give number,its not a problem,or better yet come weight yourself it for some reason you cant believe it(bring Ripleys with):thumbsup:Johndeere baler and I am 6'1,they are every bit as tall as me,its like were do people get this sjit,they are the biggest bale that a baler can possiblely make.
